Painted by Michelangelo Buonarroti in 1511, on the vault of the Sistine Chapel. In the large box dedicated to the Creation of Adam, God and Adam are represented in opposition. The composition is set on a rectangle whose proportions are very close to those of the double square. The right side is reserved for the Creator, the left side for creation, Adam. The man appears enclosed in a rectangular triangle, stable form and traceable to the ground. What Adam rests on is the only fragment of nature found in Michelangelo's works. God, on the contrary, is inserted in a roundish form, traceable to an elliptical curvature, more complex. It has the appearance of an old man with a seraphic look and appears carried by angels.
